feline friends are probably the most widespread types of pet. Many people like to introduce their new pet from being just hours old, and the cat will live with them until its dying hours. Owners are drawn to the affection of animals, they are such laid back pets, and give their masters permanent attention.

Starting the day it arrives born, disciplining the moggie is vital, unless you want a future of pungant smells and damp patches on the floor, plus snagged upholstery and maybe even bites. You might soon become familiar with the godsend of scratching posts, toilet trays, and inevitably scrubbing the carpet with disinfectant.

There is some great advice out there on cleaning cat urine. Reading about other’s experience will prove to be invauable.

Felines will of course soon be well trained, understanding the need to visit their poop tray when they need to urinate and poop. Once the habit has been developed, the future will feel straightforward – simply taking the pet away from items when it begins to scratch.

The responsibility to your moggie doesn’t finish now – you will soon discover that the responsibility of a pet cat is shown most when you need to be away for a couple of days. If you are well connected a relative or neighbour might be able to pay a visit to your house daily to add to the feed dish and maybe empty out the poop. Longer trips will similarly need advance planning as moggies generally do not to travel with their keepers. A handy tip is to pet swap with another nearby moggie owner, and so long as trips do not clash, you’ll have somebody to rely on when you’re not about to watch out for your cat.

Last but not least, you should be clear about the less common issues surrounding cat care. Medical bills will be quite large, so think about some cat cover. It may be proportionally inexpensive (especially compared to the medical costs) and will insure you in the event of a huge bill landing on your doormat after an illness.

Overwhelmingly though, the reward of a happy pet on your sofa watching the TV is definitely worth the effort, and there is nothing similar to the sound of that purr. You’ll have a friend for evermore, although they do drive you up the wall every so often.
